Brian Sauvigne is a Senior Managing Director in Blackstone GP Stakes, focusing on the acquisition of minority ownership interests in private equity and other private-market alternative asset management firms. Previously, Brian was the COO of Blackstone Growth.

Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Sauvigne spent over 20 years in investment banking, responsible for managing relationships with private equity clients, including the origination, structuring and execution of transactions across leveraged finance, M&A and equity.  Mr. Sauvigne was Head of the Financial Sponsors Group at BMO Capital Markets and previously held positions at Morgan Stanley, Macquarie Capital, and McKinsey & Co.

Mr. Sauvigne received a BA from Columbia University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
