Stephen O’Connor is a Managing Director and the Chief Compliance Officer of the Hedge Fund Solutions Group. In addition, Mr. O’Connor is involved in overseeing legal matters relating to the group’s commingled multi-manager products and a number of firm-wide strategic initiatives including Blackstone’s data science unit. Previously, Mr. O’Connor was involved in the legal structuring, negotiation and execution of investments by the Hedge Fund Solutions Special Situations Investing Group and other direct trading platforms.

Before joining Blackstone in 2013, Mr. O’Connor was an Associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP focusing on various corporate and asset management matters including private investment fund formations and mergers & acquisitions.

Mr. O’Connor received a BA from the University of Virginia and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
